1st Conference of the Latin American Trade Unionist of Canada (LATUC)
Posted 2009-Jul-28

Several Latin American trade unionists (CUPE, IAM, Steel, LIUNA 506 and UFCW 175, to name a few) have organized an Ontario Federation of Labour-endorsed conference of Canadian Latin American trade unionists.

The conference will be held Sept 11-13th, 2009, at the Steelworkers Hall, located at 25 Cecil Street in Toronto, Ontario.

The aim of the conference is to establish a network of Latino unionists across Canada to develop strategies on how to organize within the Latin American community, to share their experiences within the Labour movement and lessons that have been learned from these experiences.

All Latino workers in unions as well as non-unionized members from across Canada are encouraged to attend and spread the word.  Please see registration information below.
