The New Westminster and District Labour Council is hosting a Union Chili Cook-off on Saturday, November 7th, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the CAW Hall, located at 326 12th St. in New Westminster, B.C.

TWU Local 51 is sponsoring a team in the chili competition, whose theme is “Keep Jobs in Canada”, and invites members in the Lower Mainland to come out and enjoy the fun at this family event.  There will be prizes for the Best Chili and Best Dressed Chili Station.  The tasting is from 5 to 7 p.m. with Piñatas and amusing games for the kids.  Admission is $10.00 at the door for adults and free for children.

Your participation at this year’s event will help to raise awareness and support for Protein for People – a Labour project which donates quality protein to local food banks through the purchase of canned wild salmon.
