Your Bargaining Committee is meeting in Burnaby, B.C., this week and next week to make final preparations for the Bargaining Convention in Kelowna, B.C.

 Delegates for the Bargaining Unit should be receiving their Convention kits by April 12th.  We would, once again, like to thank the TWU staff for their hard work in completing this difficult task on time.

We have had discussions with Telus on preliminary issues and have agreed to meet June 2nd to discuss logistics and ground rules for bargaining, and will begin talks on July 26th. The Union and the Company will exchange notice to bargain in mid July.  We view this agreement as a positive beginning to a complex round of negotiations.
