Agenda:    Regular Order of Business

Motion received from Local 601

WHEREAS the TWU-STT is in a period of fiscal restraint; and
WHEREAS the interest of TWU-STT membership should be the highest priority;
And WHEREAS the Benevolent Society funds should be reserved for bargaining and the protection of the membership; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the TWU cease and desist with all renovations to the Lane Street building, that are not necessary to maintain the immediate health and safety of staff, officers and visitors

Directors recommend non-concurrence.

LOCAL 18

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that except in cases of emergencies expenditures out of the TWU-STT Benevolent Society fund of more than $50,000.00 for purposes other than bargaining, strike pay, emergency loans and member benefits, must be approved by members of the Benevolent Society by referendum ballot.
