The TWU is pleased to announce that a revised collective agreement has been reached with TigerTel Communications, Inc.
The revised three-year collective agreement provides for wage increases between 6 and 11 per cent, retroactive to December 21, 2008, and subsequent wage increases of 2 per cent in each of the next two years. The collective agreement also provides access to a dental plan whereby the company pays 50 per cent of the premiums and access to a long-term disability plan. In addition, the parties agreed that Boxing Day would be considered a paid holiday.
Ratification meetings were held on January 24th and 26th, and over 90 per cent of those balloting voted in favour of the revised agreement. The TWU would like to thank the bargaining team for their hard work and invaluable assistance in reaching this revised agreement.
