Early in December the Honourable René J. Marin heard arguments from lawyers representing Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) members and the Employment Insurance (EI) Commission regarding a number of EI appeals still active from the 2005 labour dispute.

  A lawyer also appeared on behalf of Telus, who was allowed to submit a small amount of information regarding their service levels during the time in question.

At the end of the hearings, Justice Marin committed to have a decision to the parties by the end of April.  Once the TWU receives that decision, we will post the results on the website.
