The Finance Committee is currently discussing a motion regarding a dues increase and will resume presenting their report today. The Workers Compensation Board Committee began presenting their report yesterday and will also resume at a scheduled time before the close of Convention.
Final Candidates Deliver Speeches
As the TWU Convention in Gatineau, Quebec, comes closer to an end, the remaining nominated candidates delivered their speeches yesterday morning. These also included bargaining nominees and candidates vying for the position of President. This is a very important year as the TWU prepares to negotiate a new Collective Agreement with Telus.
Voting will take place on Saturday followed by the swearing in of newly-elected Officials later in the day. Members can refer to the TWU website at www.twu-stt.ca to access the names of elected Officials on Monday, February 8th.
