International Trade Union Confederation Rally – June 23

Trade unionists from around the world are gathering in Vancouver to attend the Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) taking place June 21 to the 25 in Vancouver, B.C. 

The Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the ITUC invite all trade unionists and supporters to the protest rally “Now the People. From Crisis to Global Justice” on World Public Services day.

Date:        Wednesday, June 23, 2010

Location:    West Building Terrace (with orca statue), just west of the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Time:    12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Speakers:
-    Labour leaders from every region of the world will deliver solidarity messages to the rally;
-    Over 1,200 trade union delegates to the ITUC World Congress.  Delegates come from around the world, including many developing countries;
-    Local Canadian Labour Congress and B.C. Federation of Labour affiliates.
