Labour Day picnics are being organized across the country and Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) volunteers are needed in several cities.

Picnics typically begin at 11 a.m. and end by 4 p.m., but times may vary by location. To date, we are aware of a need for volunteers in the following cities:

Calgary, AB
Campbell River, BC
Vancouver, BC
Victoria, BC
Trail, BC

People wishing to volunteer should send their name and contact information, e-mail address, city and time preferences to labourday@twu-stt.ca.  A TWU Labour Day Picnic Coordinator will contact you.

The TWU will be using this opportunity to further its commitment to our “Keep Jobs In Canada” campaign. Volunteers will be given a “Keep Jobs In Canada” T-shirt in appreciation for their volunteer work.

We will also require assistance with the set-up and final takedown. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!
