The Occupy Wall Street movement expresses an underlying desire for fairness and equality in the economy and our society.
Peaceful protests across Canada are scheduled to begin Saturday, October 15, 2011.
TWU members who choose to participate must do so on their own time and expense.

Calgary, AB
The Occupy Calgary protest is scheduled to take place outside Bankers Hall, Stephen Avenue Downtown, 8th Avenue between 2nd & 3rd Streets SW beginning at 1 p.m.

The Occupy Edmonton protest is scheduled to take place at Sir Winston Churchill Square, located downtown Edmonton, at noon.

Vancouver, BC
Members of the B.C. Federation of Labour will gather at the Vancouver Art Gallery at noon on October 15, in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement’s call for good jobs, fair taxes and strong public services. For those who wish to get more involved in the ongoing occupation, organizers are holding a general assembly at 10 a.m. at the Vancouver Art Gallery. All are welcome.

The Occupy Victoria protest is scheduled to take place in Centennial Square, starting at noon.
A second Occupy Victoria protest will take place on the front steps of the B.C. Legislature from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This protest will feature Christopher Porter, the leader of the Canadian Action Party.
