The Vancouver School District is facing a budget shortfall projected at about $18 million in 2010-2011.  Coming on the heels of a decade of funding cuts, this round of cuts will affect every single student attending a public school in Vancouver.  In B.C., the province provides 95% of school district funding and that funding has not kept up with the costs of running public schools.

Vancouver schools need your support.  Please attend a public forum and stand up against provincial school cuts.
