The Hospital Employees’ Union and UNITE HERE Local 40 are holding a rally today at 5 p.m. at the Westin Bayshore located at 1601 Bayshore Drive, in Vancouver, B.C., to support Westin Housekeepers

and protest Westin’s abuse of the “green” label.

Westin Bayshore is using the “green” label to cut jobs, hurting immigrant working women who comprise the overwhelming majority of the hotel housekeepers in Vancouver.  At the same time, Westin is misleading guests about the benefits of “Green Choice.”  It’s time to stop the nonsense.
