Reminder: Province-wide Québec Municipal Elections November 1st

The Québec municipal elections will take place this Sunday, November 1, 2009, in over 1,100 municipalities across Québec.

  The Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) would like to remind everyone about the importance of voting since every vote counts.  We encourage you to support the following candidates, all trade union activists who have defended and will continue to stand up for workers’ and community interests.

The TWU would like to remind everyone to exercise their right to vote.  Employers have a duty to release employees with pay for a period of up to four hours during electoral office hours.  The office hours throughout Québec on Sunday are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
