Sign the Petition – Your Voice Counts!
The Keep Jobs in Canada National Awareness Campaign has been highly visible in the news since it first launched in Ottawa on May 6, 2009.

The public response has been positive and incredibly supportive. We are grateful to the countless people who took the time to sign the petition and express their personal concerns regarding the unemployment situation in Canada and the issue of offshoring – a practice that is contributing to the unemployment crisis. We need your support so please go to www.keepjobsincanada.ca and sign the online petition. Your voice counts!

"We created the National Unemployment Clock in hopes of inspiring Canadians to support our cause," explains John Carpenter, Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) National vice president. "We are facing one of the worst unemployment rates in Canadian history and corporations who make massive profits off of the backs of hardworking Canadians need to respond to why they are offshoring Canadian jobs and adding to the unemployment problem."

The campaign is symbolized by the National Unemployment Clock which is making its way across the country and is meant to bring further awareness to the unemployment crisis and the offshoring of jobs by large companies such as TELUS. This is not an issue that solely affects the telecommunications industry, but hundreds of industries such as forestry, oil, manufacturing, retail, etc.
