TW Benefit Plan Offers Open Enrolment Nationwide
Posted 2009-Feb-4

Please be advised the Telecommunication Workers Benefit Plan (TWBP) is now offering coverage to all TWU members across Canada. TWU members who are not currently part of the TWBP will receive a letter in the mail over the next few weeks explaining the coverage offered by the TWBP as well as the cost. The letter offers members the opportunity to enrol in the Plan without the requirement of medical evidence of insurability. This offer is for a limited time only from February 1, 2009 to April 30, 2009.

We encourage members to review the letter carefully. If you are interested in enrolling in the Benefit Plan, please complete both the application and beneficiary designation cards that will be included in the information package.

If you are not enrolled in the TWBP and you have not received the letter with regards to the open enrolment being offered by February 20th, please contact the Plan office immediately. We do not want you to miss this great opportunity.

A bilingual (English and French) staff member, Francine Panneton, will be available to help French speaking members as of mid-February.

Members who live outside the Vancouver area should call the toll-free number 1-877-430-3302. You will have an option to select either English or French and your call will be re-directed to staff who can help you. If you live in the Vancouver area, the Benefit Plan office phone number is (604) 430-3300.

Due to the TW Benefit Plan open enrolment offer nationwide, the Benefit Plan office may sometimes experience a high call volume. If you are unable to get through to the office by telephone, you can also E-mail your questions to general@twplans.com. The staff will try to respond to E-mail inquires within 24 hours.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
