Posted 2010-Apr-27

The Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) National President, George Doubt, kicked off the 2010 Bargaining Convention in Kelowna, B.C.,

on Monday, delivering his opening speech in front of 134 members in attendance. Brother Doubt stressed the importance that the bargaining process remains “clear and focused.”

The TWU would like to thank invited guest, Bill Cole, Consultant, Nelligan O’Brian Payne, LLP, who addressed attendees with an informative speech which outlined areas of importance to the Union. Mr. Cole’s extensive experience and expertise in bargaining negotiations will certainly be very valuable in assisting the TWU’s Bargaining Team during the collective agreement negotiations with Telus.

The TWU Bargaining Convention is scheduled to come to a close at the end of the day on Wednesday, April 28. Please be sure to look out for Bargaining News in Hotlines on the TWU website at www.twu-stt.ca in the coming weeks and throughout the Bargaining process.
