The 2011 TWU National Convention passed resolutions to direct the Constitution Committee to develop constitutional language to separate Business Agents from Executive Council and to propose a national Union structure to ensure representation from the membership across the country on the Executive Council.

The Constitution Committee will be meeting during the last week of November to develop constitutional proposals to support structural change in the Union.

The Committee would like to provide an opportunity for members or locals to provide input for the Committee to contemplate during our deliberations.  Please forward any feedback to email address constitution.committee@twu-stt.ca.  This address automatically forwards email to all members of the Committee.  All proposals or ideas received will be carefully considered.

This is not a call for resolutions to convention or a process to send resolutions to the Committee.  All locals will still have the ability to send resolutions to Convention.  The deadline for resolutions is January 16, 2012.  This Hotline is for feedback only.
