Members of the UFCW 1518 have been on strike since December 2008.  Talks are virtually non-existent as the employer, Westfair/Loblaws, refuses to return to the bargaining table.  Issues are wages and benefits.

The New Westminster District and Labour Council is calling on all union members and affiliates to join members of the UFCW 1518 for a Pancake Breakfast Rally to show support for these brothers and sisters.

When:  Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. until noon
Where:  Extra Foods at the corner of Dewdney Trunk Road and 224th in Maple Ridge.
