The results of a national ratification vote for the proposed TWU-Telus Collective Agreement have been tallied. The tentative agreement has been ratified and will be signed by the Union and the Company on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The agreement will be effective upon signing.

Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) members were asked to vote “Yes” or “No” to the question “Are you in favour of accepting the proposed agreement?” The results are as follows:

Total eligible ballots voting “Yes”: 2146
Total eligible ballots voting “No”: 514

Total Ballots Received: 2678    Spoiled Ballots: 18
