TWU/Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Alberta Photo Contest 2009

All Alberta TWU members are encouraged to participate in the photo contest for a grand prize of two nights (plus dinner for two) at the Fairmont resort of their choice (Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Banff Springs, or Jasper Park Lodge) plus $50 in gas to get there!

Three runners-up will receive a $100 gift card to an area restaurant or attraction in their region.

Please see contest rules below. Hurry! Contest runs through December 1, 2009. Three entries per participant are permitted.

All valid entries will be posted on the TWU website at www.twu-stt.ca and also be included in a slideshow which will be posted online on the TWU YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/twustt. Photo Contest Rules

  • Maximum file size 5MB (5,000,000 bytes).
  • Maximum three submissions per employee.
  • Edited photos welcomed. Creativity is encouraged.
  • Please attach only one photo per email.
  • All photos must be accompanied by a text explanation/story or caption with a maximum of 250 words.
  • Entries must include a valid name, telephone number, email, postal address and union Local.
  • Entrants must be a member of the TWU, or willing to sign a membership application form upon being named a finalist, and work/reside in the province of Alberta.

Initial judging will be done by one elected Business Agent of the TWU and the Alberta Membership Outreach Coordinator. They will be responsible for choosing 10 finalist entries from all of the submissions.

- Story/text or caption attached to photo 15%

Judging will be completed by one elected TWU Business Agent, one rank and file TWU Member, and one person from within the labour community who is independent from the TWU. Each judge will be from different regions, and will not be allowed any entries of their own.
