Volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 2, 2009, for about 1.5 hours to support a Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) member and New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate, Mondee Redman, who is running for a seat in the Burnaby North riding. We will be knocking on the doors of TWU members who live in Burnaby North and encouraging them to vote for Ms. Redman and to support the NDP. Volunteers will be provided with donuts and coffee before the door-to-door canvassing begins.
If you cannot participate on May 2nd, the TWU, in conjunction with the constituency association, will be organizing a TWU phone bank night where TWU members and other volunteers will be calling voters in the Burnaby North riding and encouraging them to support Mondee.
The NDP has a long history of support for Labour unions and we ask that you help to support NDP candidate, Mondee Redman. To volunteer or for further information, please contact Colin Brehaut at colin.brehaut@twu-canada.ca.
