The Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) welcomes all new and returning delegates as well as invited guests to the 2011 Policy Convention taking place in Surrey, B.C., from May 2-6.
We look forward to a charged schedule and much work ahead of us. Delegates can expect to receive daily bulletins which will provide highlights of the previous day’s convention.
The TWU would like to recognize and thank its talented staff who worked so hard to organize this convention.
Brothers and sisters, have a wonderful week!
New Delegate Training Seminar
Can you remember your first time attending convention as a delegate? Were you excited and nervous, not wanting to make a mistake? Although many delegates are now seasoned professionals, that was not always the case. For new delegates, the learning curve can seem quite daunting.
A new delegate training seminar which covered the roles and responsibilities, communications, and an overview of the convention kit took place yesterday. This course was organized to help delegates better understand the process during convention, ensuring that our members’ interests are served to the highest standards.
The TWU would like to thank everyone who was involved in helping to make this training possible.
Stay Tuned…
