Your Bargaining Committee for the 2010 Telus agreement has just finished its second week of meetings in Edmonton.

The Committee has dealt with a number of administrative details, engaged in some preliminary training and is developing strong positive relationships within a united Committee.

The Committee had preliminary meetings with Telus representatives to begin discussions on a schedule and other details in preparation for the commencement of negotiations.  We will keep you informed of our progress.

Previous member involvement initiatives such as the Bargaining training and events across the country in the fall have lead to an impressive amount of member involvement in forwarding resolutions to the Committee from their locals.  The Committee has begun to review those resolutions in order to make recommendations to the April Bargaining Convention.

The Bargaining Committee will next be meeting in Burnaby on March 15th.

The Committee would like to thank the TWU staff for their hard work in handling and translating those resolutions, many of which arrived on the deadline of March 1st.  We could not complete our work without their help
